Guys, do you think its better to sell a gun on here or gunbroker. Im a newer member here, so waiting until next Tuesday to list a rifle. I just never use the darn thing as I thought my state was going to allow deer hunting eith rifles but went to straight wall only. Now im sitting on a 280 Ackley improved that's fun to shoot but I just can't justify keeping it.

I would try here first. If you don't have any luck selling try gun broker. If you price it right it will sell quickly. If you are trying to get max dollars then probably will sit at both places.

I've sold rifles here on Rokslide and also on other forums and have had good luck and never any issues. I think these days the bigger issue is shipping, I've always used USPS but have seen posts where its a problem now??
I would avoid USPS at all costs. In fact my mailman told me the same thing. USPS is absolutely terrible nowadays. Doesn’t matter if it’s a gun or a pair of shoes.

I've sold a few on Gunbroker without incident. I always work with my local shop to handle the shipping for me. I just box it up with a label and ask him to send in his next outgoing shipment. I have not had good luck otherwise.

Serious question for you. Would YOU send a wad of cash to a stranger that joined a free forum Wednesday and has only made meaningless posts in order to use the FREE classifieds?
So to answer your question, Gunbroker all the way! Glwys

I’ve bought and sold here, the Campfire, and on GunBroker. There’s no functional difference between them. They are all arm’s length transactions requiring some method of establishing enough trust to get the sale through.

I shipped them all via USPS without any issues. Whether that works for you, a complete stranger with no reputation, is another matter.

Out of gunbroker, or here, I’d try and sell here. But if you have Facebook, I’ve bought and sold a bunch on there. Meet up face to face and don’t have to worry about shipping or scams. There are private, local gun sale groups on there.
