However out to 600 yards which is my self-imposed Max shooting game and I like to be much closer than that would the better ballistics of the 7 or 300 matter much ?

Im not sure at that distance you even need a magnum, but I don't want to start that debate. I think you should hold out for the caliber you really want and not settle to get it faster.

How did you settle on the cooper? I have been looking at customs and was looking at MOA rifles and just wanted to know your thought process. Also the color pattern and coating you described sounded sweet, any photos?
