You are right. That’s a horrible reticle picture. I’ll take it out and repost better one.Maybe we can convince you to drop that bad Larry? Haha. Thanks for posting these reticle pics
I didn’t mean ‘drop’ the pictures out of the thread ha, I meant drop the scope (à la form’s field evaluation method) once it’s mounted to the lead slinger of your choice. (Which a lot of people would be nervous to do with a $4k scope)You are right. That’s a horrible reticle picture. I’ll take it out and repost better one.
Comments made of price VS someones perceived unknown performance, aka won't pass a drop test. Lot of people here have preconceived opinions on products because of the manufacturers name. Everyone loves a maven Rs1.2, but none their other scopes reliably pass drop tests. Dropping judgement with zero data isn't wise. I have lots of blah opinions about stuff guys on here love, to each their own. I've had 2 Nightforces fail, I only own 6, so does that mean 33% of atacr scopes will tank? No, it doesn't, everything can break, and if you use it enough, it eventually will.If you are referring to me can you point to where i "flamed" it & said it would be a POS/Junk
Ok thanks for not answering my question. Never once did i say it wouldn't pass or did i mention any other scope. i said the reticle was subpar for hunting which it is. Then i said i hope it gets tested because i enjoy reading them. You added all of that other stuffComments made of price VS someones perceived unknown performance, aka won't pass a drop test. I’d like to see one as well. I just put the 2-12 on my AR and like it quite a bit. My only complaint is the reticle is THINI’d really like to see a Steiner H6Xi tested. Finding it harder and harder to not order one to try out.
I was just looking at those and thought the same. For the price on euro optic right now it’s tempting to try.I’d really like to see a Steiner H6Xi tested. Finding it harder and harder to not order one to try out.
Id like to see that too but honestly...I don't think they'd pass.I listened to some content by Cliff Grey and heard him talk about big companies quietly making scopes able to pass the test. I would be really interested to see these new Vortex Viper HD scopes maybe they did it right and if so the value of that scope would be hard to beat!
These look good to me too, I know Tyler Freel has been shooting one quite a bit and has been very happy with it. Nice compact little setup and a solid set of specs.I’d really like to see a Steiner H6Xi tested. Finding it harder and harder to not order one to try out.
So you have one but you want someone else to test it? Why not do it yourself?I’d like to see one as well. I just put the 2-12 on my AR and like it quite a bit. My only complaint is the reticle is THIN
In all fairness not many people have controlled all the variables within the rifle system that form has. If he did it and it passed great but if it failed there would be a big question around what actually failedSo you have one but you want someone else to test it? Why not do it yourself?
So it seems to be a pretty general consensus on here that the older bushnell elites were reliable scopes, at first i thought it was just the tactical models but the more i read everyone seems to agree all the japanese made models are pretty good. Has there been any tests done on a basic elite 3500 model? Couldn't find anything on when searched. I know there not commercially available anymore but seeing how common they are on the used market it would be good to see more solid data
