I am curious what the majority vote would be and your reasoning.

I have a Fierce Carbon Rival in 7PRC and just acquired a Night Force SHV 4-14x50 and a Ziess Conquest V4 4-16x50.

What optic do you choose?

Of the options listed...

7prc. because less recoil and more than enough oomph, flatter trajectory, less wind drift.

Nightforce. Because it's a nightforce and you can trust it. (Been burnt too many times by other brands/scopes)
Thank you for your feedback. I am looking at these to replace my X-bolt hells canyon in 300wm topped with an older Nikon Black, Christensen Ridgeline in 6.5CM, and Tikka Lite in 7RM, both wearing Vortex PST Gen II's. All had specific purposes and will always have a place in my safe.

7 prc and NF.

The 7mm bullets are plenty to kill out to 1000 and typically will be easier to shoot with less recoil. I don't know the Zeiss scopes, but for backcountry I choose a scope that I know will run. That's NF by reputation and experience.

Ditto this for sure. The 300 PRC would need some extra weight and a good brake to be as shootable as the 7PRC.

I'm waiting for 2 Beast CF II brakes to show up any day now. 4 port for 7 and 5 for the 300. Most of my rifles have one of Nathan's brakes on them.
