Hey guys,

I have a CZ 557 that I took to the gunsmith and had him thread the barrel. The rifle ran perfect before I sent it to him...

Now that I have it back, the rifle does not want to feed from the magazine. I am using 3, factory CZ magazines and all of them ran perfect before sending it off. Gunsmith said nothing he did.

I took it apart and researched a little, there is an alignment pin that seemed off and buggered up. I tried to make it nice and pretty, got it aligned, but still having the same issues.

Sometimes it won't pick up the next round, other times the mag sits too low and the angle jams up the action.

Anybody have the issue that got it fixed? I absolutely love the rifle and need it to run like it did.

Thanks!

Not familiar with CZ’s, but sounds like it’s not put together right. I would check stock, mag box, mag spring, action screws, pin, etc. to make sure nothing is pinched and everything is fully seated, etc.

I found the alignment pin on my 3rd attempt... It worked in the shop, but then when I took it out to the range, went back to it.

I might try it some more, see if I can guess it right...
