Rifle carry system

I know this has been asked before, I am looking for a rifle carry system for my EXO K4 .. I have a kid that has the same pack & the EXO system bottom bucket is great top attachment Sucks.. Also have a buddy that has the Slik system on his K4 that thing is a Joke 18" of rubber strap catching brush & tree limbs. I have looked at Kifaru FHF & several others anyone have a system that works ?

Kifaru gun bearer works great for me. I have a Kifaru pack but they make one for non Kifaru as well. I wouldn’t go without it.

I have the Kifaru as well but I have had issues trying to make it work with a slide buckle on the shoulder strap like it does on a Kifaru pack. Dropped my rifle from it coming undone multiple times. I didnt want to attach it as high as shown above but may have to. I need to experiment with it more.

I just realized you added the 3 bar to yours. I dont know if they changed it but mine didnt come with that. I may have to sew one on and try it.

@MuleyFever mine is not the universal gun bearer, I have the Kifaru pack specific one. I have both and didn't like the way the universal upper fit, so I used the Kifaru pack specific one.

I have the Kifaru one too. The top strap doesn't have a 3 bar on it. It has a seam that holds it after you thread it into the 3 bar on a Kifaru pack.

Gotcha, that is right I bought a 3-bar slider and added it to use the molle on the shoulder strap.

I like to run the Kifaru gun bearer hip belt attachment, but I don't use their shoulder attachment. For the shoulder strap connection, I use a piece of paracord connected to flush cup sling adapter. If you would like I can take a few pictures later.

There’s probably better flush cup adapters but this one worked well for me on the past few trips.

I don't have an EXO pack, but I love the SG rifle carrying system. They might be cross-compatible.

Kifaru GB or slik v-1 bottom with gun bearer top, SG looks like a good choice as well

Ive been using the fhf sling. It carries alright but its kind a pain in the ass to get the rifle hooked in.

This is great. I tried to convince the Slik Sling guy to make a version like this but he was just about to release his V2 which I don't love.

I run an Exo K4 and their rifle carrier option is surprisingly bad. Everything else they make is so well tested and integrated. I think they just made it to shut people up and give them something, while they are disciples of the strap-it-to-the-pack ethos.

I wish someone would make a version with QD cups top and bottom that you could use to keep your rifle in front of you cross-body (sort of like the tactical AR slings).

Ya I did this because I had my gun fall out of the Kifaru gun bearer top strap system and I wanted something more secure but still quick.

I found the slick sling a bit “busy” for my taste.

What is it that’s so bad about the exo system? I like that the bottom stays on when you rest the butt of the rifle. The top clip is nice and adjustable. It is secured a lot better than many. I used the SG one a ton and while nice, could get a bit floppy. I was able to pack a deer out solo with rifle right on the frame/near my body as Exo intended. Do people really just hate the clip or what am I missing?
