I have been having troubles with the Revic ballistic calculator weather system. Before I went out hunting it seemed to hit the local weather station and adjust, but now it’s not even close. What have I done?
An accurate prehunt weather reading:
My recent weather results:
And what it really was with another system showing that I was actually in an area where I could hit a weather station:
Besides my elevation and pressure being totally off there are other questions I have about Revic:
Why do I have to go into settings every time to enter meters/US? It seems to default to yards/US between shooting sessions. I really don’t want to dick around with that every time I shoot.
Why if I go into settings and change from weather station mode to manual do I have to re-enter the environmentals multiple times because as I go to the next input the system changes the previous one? For example I’ll put in 9000’ and then when I’m inputting my temp or pressure I’ll see that it’s changed my elevation to 20,000 some odd feet or indicate an unrealistic pressure.
I can’t pair this up with my BR4 currently because I’ve sent that back for evaluation, however I really want to understand this for the sake of confidence.
School me please!
