Revic BR4

It may just be me, but it seems like quite a few people are selling their BR4’s.
Why?

The reason why I ask is that I’m in the market for a new rangefinder that has on board customizable ballistics and environmental sensors.
I had it down to the Sig Kilo8k and the BR4. But noticed a lot of them are being sold on this and other forums. Just making use I’m not missing a better option.

I think people made the switch to rangefinding binos. Revic had their rangefinding bino for $1000 off for the last six weeks (sale ended Dec 31) so I'd wager guys on the edge bought and are getting rid of their old setups. Having never used the BR4, this is just an assumption but the sale certainly had my attention if I had the funds.

Yep I loved my BR4 but moved over to the binos.

The bino's are probably the better option but I have a BR4, and it has worked well for me.

I used my BR4 last year in So. Africa for my rifle and Dave’s. He shot a 7 Rem mag and had two loads, one with the 168 gr Berger and one with a 120 gr Barnes TTSX. Mine was the 300 PRC with a 215 gr Berger. Switching back and forth between the three profiles was easy because I worked it for every shot because Dave is not too savvy with electronic wizardry. We killed everything we went after including a long shot at a springbok and a split second kudu at last light. Dave shot a Cape buffalo at 40 yards with a .416 Rigby, without the BR4 of course. Plus I killed my Wyoming buck with the BR4 at 600 yards and he killed his 195” buck at 75 yards without. I think that’s 15 animals with the BR4. I love it. It’s mine forever. I’ll carry it this year too but as backup to the BLR10b while I work with it. So far that is the bomb, which is good.

Wish I could say something nice about it, but due to ranging issues and more I returned it after less than two weeks of owning it. Next week it will be 3 months they have had it for “evaluation”. I did contact them on month two and they said they only had one technician and had many post hunt returns to get through. I can’t say I have any confidence in them now. Using their Revic ops app during this same time frame has only increased my doubts.
