Checking to see if anyone has experience, good or bad, with Revelation Mountain Outfitters for Dall Sheep. I am looking at them for a hunt and doing some research.

Thanks in advance for any info.

No first hand knowledge, just info in passing. Nothing really bad about them.

The sheep population in that part of the state is struggling. I would ask for success rates for the last 4-5 years. and check references from past clients of this year and last.

With the closure of 19, there are a few guides moving into their area, or so I hear. could be more pressure in the coming years.

I'm not sure if there are better or worse areas to hunt, to be honest. Sheep populations are pretty low statewide, Sure there is still success, but it's nothing like it was 10-15 years ago. The days of seeing multiple legal rams on a hunt are long gone.

Good luck

Thank you. I appreciate the response and info.

I hunted with them in 2024 and killed this awesome ram. On my 10 day hunt, we seen 3 more rams that were for sure legal rams. One of my best friends also hunted with them (same dates as me about 30 miles away from me) and missed a beautiful flaring ram at 300 yards, and seen 2 or 3 more that were legal. He is re-booked to go back next year with them (2026). Him and I hunted the 2nd 10 day hunt with them, starting August 22nd. They had a group of (3) sheep hunters before us hunting the first 10 days of the season. One guy tapped out and quit on day 3 I believe, with a legal ram visible from their camp. One guy missed the ram that I ended up taking. The 3rd guy legitimately did not have an opportunity. I have nothing but good to say about that outfit. Their communication on the front end and every part of the hunt was exactly as Jason described. I would go back and hunt with them in a heartbeat.
