Woah, ha, don’t know what to think between problems with skinny and outserts, how small they are, wanting to try because it’s new, then $300

What do you guys think of them, or have you tried them out?

$300? I really like my Deep Impacts so I can't understand paying twice as much for an arrow that won't perform any better. These must be heat seeking arrows with boomerang technology that places the arrow back in the quiver.

I don’t know that you can say they won’t outperform the Deep Impacts. They are a heavy thicker arrow than the DT’s making them tougher. The question is it worth the money. The price is hard to justify with the other options out there. I’m shooting the Sirius Apollo .204 Shaft with Ethics Archery Outsert system and it’s like $200/dozen. Hard to justify going to these shafts with an inferior outsert system for $100 more.

These are target shafts and will most likely primarily be used with glue in points.
I dont see how or why any one would use any type of outsert system for a hunting arrow as they are subjected to lateral force against the outsert and amplified by the length of a broadhead.

Just use a 204 Id shaft and call it day.

My understanding is that they are a hunting shaft. Hence the higher GPI. I’m sure they’ll be used for both with the high tolerances and skinny shaft.

I’ve had great luck with good quality outsert systems. Never had one fail on me. That’s more than I can say for the Easton HIT system. I think the quality of the system is the biggest issue. I use an aluminum half out with steel collar and I’ve had one bend after center punching a rock, but I’ve never had one break.

Looks like it's a target shaft, at least it says so in the the description.....

Yeah I’m not sure why they chose to market them as a target shaft. I think with the price and tolerances they are more likely to sell in the target world. But with the thick wall and heavy GPI they are definitely a suitable hunting shaft. Aron Snyder has been hunting with them for a while and just posted a video today showing his setup. My guess is after splitting off from Day Six he talked Randy at Black Eagle into building a similar arrow (Micro Diameter, Heavy GPI) and this is the result.

I will be using them this year as my hunting arrow. Ximpacts were just too weak. The focos system isnt bad either, great if you have ocd.

Any more reports on these ?? I just got some 300s...haven't put them together yet but they make the deep impacts look chintzy

These were designed to compete with the Easton ProTour and X10...yes you can use them as a hunting shaft, but they will be used a lot for Field/USA Archery/World Archery events

Update on my experiences

Loving these arrows, bareshaft tuned to 80 yards...shot bare shafts extremely well...there is definitely somthing to the high mode carbon... messing with fletching configurations but a simple promax vanes are getting me pretty amazing groups out to 80...pretty common to have those little fletchings touching

Irons wills flying great also but havent shot groups to get anything credible

More playing to come

Last I looked I didn't even see an outsert system for these. Is it the Focus system?
