Reveal X Pro picture quality

We have a Reveal X Pro, pic quality is ok but feel it could be better. Pics at sunrise and sunset are not clear at all. Thought it might be catching too much light but it is in a heavily shaded area and not facing sun. Any suggestions?

Mine will do this too... I think it swaps into night vision early or stays in it too long and it makes the pics weird
