Reticle Spotter or Reticle Binos?

I’ve been thinking about adding a lighter weight spotter with reticle for spotting shots and using on hunts I need to be lighter in weight. Likely a Leupold Mark 4 or Gold ring 20-40x60.

Then I was messing around and saw Maven offers a 18x with reticle B.5 which also aligns with the higher power binos I was wanting to add.

Has anyone used a reticle spotter and reticle binos? I know I much prefer binos.
Could I video shots through the binos and still see the reticle?

Any other thoughts between the two for spotting shots?

That’s a little heavy. Maven and Athlon also have similar options in that weight and mag range. Leupold beats them by a pound plus.
