I have a light weight and my dad has the mid weight. I haven’t had a ton of problems with the light weight, they don’t dry as fast as FL, but they are less than half the cost. I had my dad in MT mule deer hunting in Nov this past year, it was abnormally warm with steep drops in evening. He got his blackovis mid weight soaked through the first morning and continued wearing it all day. It never dried out, whether we were stationary or moving. He was shaking uncontrollably by evening, I noticed and immediately got concerned, he was trying to tough it out. Ended up having to strip down and take it off, make a fire and put down layers on. He had a FL layer and wore it the next day and rest of trip, was blown away by how fast it dried in comparison. He threw it over a limb that evening at camp and it was still wet in the morning. I love blackovis but that did it for me with their merino.
