Anyone have any favorites/recommendations for replacement laces for their boots?

I buy Asolo laces to replace the ones on my Asolo boots. I bought some generic ones one time and they came un-tied easily. Now I just stick to the Asolo laces.

The flat laces are the ticket. Maybe aren't the most durable. But they stay tied all day.

This is an easy one - Lawson Equipment Technora Toughlaces

Sounds crazy but its the first thing I do when I buy a new pair of boots. The only drawback is that the ends do not always fit through all eyelets on different brands.

Ah… so make a flat lace with the 550…. Interesting
I have at times left 1 or two strands in, but even stripped they are some of the most durable laces one can get and hold a knot well.

I thought laces were a commodity… glad to know I need to buy something else.

For those reading, if you haven’t already, add “laces” (or a substitute such as paracord) to the list of things that you should pack. Broken laces = sucky hiking

Paracord has worked well for me for years. Used in all my work boots and hiking boots. I will run the free ends thru a piece of folded sand paper to "rough " the surface slightly . This helps with knot holding better. Now I am going to have to try the "gutlesss paracord" mentioned above. Thinking this could become another "rockslide special".
