Replace cable?

Not sure what happened but some threads on my bow cable came loose. Do I need to replace this or can I just cut off the frayed ends? String around 1k shots over 1 year of use. No signs of wear anywhere else on strings or cables.

Thanks!

It's toast, literally and figuratively! Somebody got too happy with the flame! At least replace that cable and maybe it's time for a whole new set!

Thanks for the responses! I’m going to replace them. Bow has never seen a fire, only thing I can think of is I set it against my pick up bed liner on a hot day.

I would replace it. A custom string builder will sell you just that cable alone if you don't want to buy a complete string/cable set. I agree that it looks like it got nipped by a flame...could've happened while singeing serving ends after tying in a peep sight.
