Here’s a perfect backpack rifle! Ultra lightweight, Accurate and durable.
Remington model 7 SSF, Remington customized spiral fluted & skeletonized bolt, KDF style slimline arrestor, jewel trigger, McMillian edge stock in one of Kenny Jarret’s favorite rounds 7mm-08 ackley improved. I have New set of dies and only 20 factory rounds fired through it. I purchased this rifle from a gentleman here on rockslide with intentions of hunting muledeer this fall. I purchased an archery hunt instead and decided this gem of a rifle needs to be with that someone backpacking in and searching for this super package. I have a Leupold VXII 3-9x40 on it and will sell it with or without.

Do you know the barel length before the brake? Weight? Im guessing 6 pounds pre scope....

Is the barrel a factory and rechambered or is this another barrel? If the later, what make? This is an awesome looking little rifle.

It is the factory barrel. Purchased a New PTB reamer and professional gun smith did the job. If you are familiar with Ackley rounds then you know you can fire both factory ammo and Ackley reloaded ammo. In the case of the 7mm-08 Ackley, factory rounds have to be fire formed to get brass. I've fired approximately 20 factory rounds through it. It is an Awesome rifle in many aspects - appearance, lightweight, easy to handle, weather resistant and like most Remington's I've owned accurate.
