MY SON BOUGHT A REMINGTON BULL BBL 700 308 AND WANTS TO REPLICATE A M24 ANYONE DONE THIS AND PICS OF EHAT ONE LOOKS LIKE WOULD BE HELPFUL.

The classis M24 looks like this. The stock is an H-S Precision Stock. I believe its the one in the link below. Harris style bipod. Scope was a Leupold 10x42 fixed, initially the M3A ultra then the Mk4 LR/T. This is if you want to be closely accurate to the original M24.

I know this isn’t what you were asking, but I think it’s cool GA Precision makes a M24.

For a quick and dirty M24 replica a Harris bipod, Leupold Mark 4 two piece bases and rings, Redfield Olympic bases and sights, and like AM-hunter said a $600 HS Precision civilian stock gets you the feel of it. The barrel contour is heavier than a normal Remington varmint/sendero profile. The real rear sight is a more expensive Redfield Palma Match model, but the older olympic sights are still pretty good.

I think these are pretty cool rifles and heavy enough to be pretty stable. I see them listed as 12 lbs bare rifle and 15ish with scope, sling and bipod.

I have the sights, bipod, scope mount, and 308 barrel, but am holding out for a good used stock. SWFA 10x scope is about the only good 10x option it seems, but I’d probably also try the Athlon 10x if this is just a plinking/range gun.

The dovetail front sight base height is hard to figure out until you get a rear sight and have it adjusted where you like to start at elevation wise. These bases come in all different heights. Worst case you get one slightly taller than needed and have it shaved down a bit.
