Remington bdl dm options

Hello all,
I have a Remington 700 BDL 7mm Rem Mag with the factory detachable mag.
I want to upgrade the factory stock, I want a good hunting stock $500 is my limit. What options do I have since it has the factory dm???

I've put Bell and Carlson stocks on my dm M700s. McMillan may offer an option as well.

If you have a DM you do not also have a bdl. I used a bell and carlson alaskan and have been happy with it

That’s not true. I have a Remington M700 SS in 25-06 that has a DM and is a BDL.

You may have a CDL (classic deluxe) with a DM. I have one also.

ADL has a blind magazine

BDL has a hinged floorplate

DM has a detachable magazine.

I think that is correct anyway.

They offered is as an option back in the mid-90s. I bought it in 95 or 96.

Good to know. I was under the impression that the CDL was the only option that could have either the dm or hinged floor plate (i have one of each). And thought all BDLs had hinged plates. Now i know. Thanks.

I really don’t care for the factory stock. I don’t know if people just cut the sides out where the mag release is? The more I think about it I may be better off trading it for a tikka
