I was planning to send this one to Karl Kampfeld and have him spiral-flute the barrel and trick out the bolt. But something else came along and stole my attention. This Firearms ADD affliction is very expensive. I’m sure none of you guys would understand. Lol. A description of the build:

• Rem 700 Pre-A-Series long action ADL receiver that has been trued. Sako extractor installed.
• Brux 24” stainless barrel chambered in .257 Roberts Ackley Improved, measures .675 at the muzzle. Believe to be 1:10 twist.
• Receiver, barrel and trigger guard Cerakoted in black.
• Walker-style trigger that has been tuned and breaks clean at 1 lb. 8 oz pull, avg of 4 pulls.
• McMillan Hunter ADL stock, standard fill, pillars installed, bedded to the action and barrel channel opened up for the Brux. Decelerator pad. Weighs 31.3 ounces. Finished in a nice chocolate brown with black webbing.
• According to prior owner, all work done by a former McWhorter employee.
• Unknown round count, but the rifling looks very crisp.
• 13-1/2” LOP
• Barreled action weighs 5 lbs. 7.6 ounces
• Assembled rifle weighs 7 pounds, 9.6 ounces

The sale also includes the following:
• 27 pieces R-P .257 AI formed brass, unprimed and polished
• 50 pieces R-P .257 Roberts new unprimed brass
• Redding 3-pc .257AI dies
• RCBS 2-pc .257 Roberts dies, #11 shellholder
• 48-count Barnes .25 cal 100gr TTSX projectiles (almost impossible to find!)

I have not fired the rifle. The former owner said it was very accurate, but I have no specific details or targets. The quality of the receiver, barrel, pillar-bedded stock and builder would indicate it’s a shooter. Cosmetically it’s in excellent shape. Not perfect, but very acceptable. It does have some scope mount tracks on the top of the receiver, but those will be covered by your mounts. The McMillan stock has no blemishes. See the photos for cosmetic details.

$1,295 shipped for the entire package. The rifle ships to your FFL from an individual. The components will ship via USPS Priority Mail. I will not sell the components separately. The total package includes a nice custom rifle and everything you need to enjoy it. Drop me a PM if you have questions. I would consider trades or partial trades for lightweight bolt rifles, Euro optics, ??. I can add cash in the right deal. Thanks for looking and good shooting!

Keith

Thanks, SDHNTR. I bought it at a good price, so selling it at a good price. More pics below. Let's get this sold. I have another rifle on the way back from Karl Kampfeld, with invoice enclosed. I know Karl likes to get paid, so someone jump on this great deal.

Oh yeah. You need this Whitey! Early Christmas present. You can even let your wife wrap it and put it under the tree for you! :) Since you already have a .257 AI, you may not need the dies and components. I can make you a better deal on just the rifle. PM me if interested.
