Has anyone used any of the Remedy7 line of packs by Blacks Creek. How does there Grip Fame work compared to MR or KU. I see that they are heavier. I have had a hard time finding info about these packs and would like to hear more about them before I purchase a new pack, whatever band that may be. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have looked at these pretty hard , and about bit on one in febuary. But had had alot of second thoughts after seeing the weight and that they do not have functional load lifters! But those were the only things so if you dont mind weight and the load lifter issue , the design is awesome! JMO

Last year I used one for a hunt. It's a good start for a design, but needed some bugs worked out. Good durability, but not equivalent to my Kifaru Late Season or a Mystery Ranch. I felt that the Eberlestock Blue Widow was more comfortable, despite the BW's slightly shorter load lift angle. The excessive pockets made the Solution's capacity feel restricted to less than the Blue Widows capacity. I personally prefer the Blue Widow over the Remedy 7's Solution. The durability is slightly better than the Blue Widow's.

For $500 I would recommend the Kifaru Late Season for enhanced versatility, comfort, fit, compress-ability, and potential capacity. The Kifaru Late Season starts off around 3500 cubic inches, plus can have pods, pockets, etc attached to every side of the exterior effectively and very securely. The Late Season equipped with 24" stays will also match the maximum comfortable carrying capacity if not exceed it.

However, don't forget about the Eberlestock Blue Widow, if your on a tight budget and have a torso length of 19" or less. The Blue Widow is similar to the Kifaru Late Season, just the next star down as far as ratings go. The Blue Widow will save you over $100. However, if a 23" to 24" frame doesn't fit you, you should go the next step up with a Kifaru 26" frame or another pack with 26" or more of usable frame length.

On the bright side, Blacks Creek provides outstanding customer service and hopefully that never changes.
