This Remington model 700 Laminated Stock/Stainless is in excellent condition and is bone stock except for the addition of a Sims Limbsaver recoil pad, which has a very noticeable effect on the taming of recoil. The original owner who is a local friend of mine fired less than a box of ammo without ever hunting it, and I ended up firing about 40 rounds through the rifle and taking it on one hunt.
After drawing a Oryx tag on the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, I had Leupold set me up with a VX-3 4.5-14x40 with the duplex reticle and a custom turret for the Nosler Custom 200 grain Accubond factory load @ 3050 fps muzzle velocity, which I zeroed at 300 yards and dialed out to 850 yards. I was successful in taking an animal on the hunt, after which I moved on to other interests, and I never hunted the LSS again. Having stockpiled many firearms over the years, I am working on thinning out the herd. The rifle and scope are basically in like new condition, with no obvious imperfections.
