Rem 7/12 with Staball 6.5?

Anybody ever try this combo, I’ve heard the rem 7 1/2 is a hot little primer, but is it hot enough to light a charge of Staball 6.5 north of 40 grains?

I’ve used CCI 450s in my 7-08 with RL17 and it was fine. I don’t know what cartridge you’re loading, but if it’s a 308 parent case, I think it would be fine.

I also used 250’s in my 6.5 creed and am not seeing pressure signs at book max with 147’s , at 1-1 1/2 over I start to get some with Peterson brass, every rifle is different though.
