Just like the title says- what next. I’ve been playing with the 156 Berger’s for a little while in my 6.5 PRC with a 1:8 twist, and have been getting decent groups, and great speeds, sd’s, and es with H1000 just can’t seem to get the accuracy where I want it. Started long and been working my way back with jump but not getting what I’m after. Thinking about trying LRP’s next rather than magnums. As far as other powders I’ve tried- just H4831 but it was slow. Really feel like the H1000 ought to be the ticket with what I’m seeing on the chrono. Anything else to try? Also, I’m thinking of trying some 150 ABLR’s in the future. Any one have good luck with those?

I shoot Terminal Ascent get 3/4-1" group. I sent my rifle back, Seekins did some tweaking, sent me a paper target back with 0.5-0.75" groups with ELDX. I have not shot them yet. Not sure if I will > prefer bullets with high weight retention.

Hammers would probably shoot very well too.

Retumbo beat out H1000 and H4831sc for speed and accuracy with 156’s. I’d still like to try N565 though…

I've used Retumbo with 156s and gotten good velocitys and have used both magnum and lrp primers with good reults, 156s haven't been very jump sensitive for me either, they kind of have been an easy button

When you say accuracy isn't what you're wanting what group sizes are you getting for how many shots?

If you really want to use the 156, I'd try N565. If you aren't set on that bullet, try the 147 ELDM with your H1000.

My tikka loves N565 and 147 ELDM with 20 inch barrel suppressed right around 2960fps. Right around .75moa at 100, but when you shoot farther you run it out the smaller it shoots.
How many grains of N565 are you loading to get that speed? That's more than 100 fps faster than where I started to see pressure signs with the exact same bullet, powder, and barrel length.

.7-.8. I know I should be getting better than that out of my custom.
