I am curious if anyone has loaded 22 Creedmoor using Superformance powder and what you thought about the results. I am trying different powders in my load development and wanted to try this powder, as it seems pretty readily available about everywhere you look. Unlike some of the other powders as of late. I am looking at a bullet weight range from 62 gr. ELD-vt to the 88 gr. ELD-M. The cases I am using are large primer pockets, Alpha and Peterson brass, but predominately Peterson.

A buddy of mine is using superformance out of his 22-243 middlestead shooting 75 eldm. His velocity is just over 3500 fps.
Yeah I would think the velocity would be there for sure. I know it's a ball powder and a lot of guys don't like those but I have used StaBall 6.5 in some rounds and it did well too.

In the 60gr class it'll be great. In the 80+, slower burning double base will give you more velocity.
That makes sense. I hadn’t thought about that. I’m gonna try some and I’ll use it for the 62 and 68 gr I’ve been using. And I’ll have to wait until I can get some N 555 for the heavier bullets.

Try n560 or ramshot magnum.

I haven’t used it myself, but a buddy had delayed ignition using SRP magnums and superformance. Temps weren’t that cold when he had the issue. Something to think about with ball powders. Using the lrp should help you from having that issue.
I also experienced delayed ignition and loss of 150 fps between rounds using staball 6.5 in -16C with alpha srp and cci 450’s.

I have been fortunate to this point of being able to get the LRP brass and hopefully won't ever run into this problem. And as for the -16°C temps, I'm out :ROFLMAO:

40 grs n550 with 62 VT in my 22-250 AI ( similar capacity to 22 CM) gave 3550 ish fps and 1/2” group. 26.5” barrel.

Can’t wait for squirrels and rockchucks to “wake up” !!

That will be easy to see the impact, just look for the huge pink mist explosion :ROFLMAO:
