Hadn't seen this talked about here. This is of course different than the one trapped in Elbert County which was not one of the reintroduced wolves.

Elbert county is front range. Used to live in elbert, but not elbert county. Wolves in that area will lead to conflicts with people.

I was in a bar in Reserve NM talking to a local. He said they shoot wolves in the guts, and they run off deep in the woods to never be found again........ to die a slow death out of sight....

Yes, for the most part CPW reported that the likely cause of death was via mtn lion.

There was one killed by a lion in my state a few years ago, I don’t think it’s really rare

If there is a wolf and a cat, my money is on the lion every single time, I don’t think cats would mess with a pack, but a lone wolf is probably pretty vulnerable with a lion

Lions hate coyotes and love killing them, and assume would like to take out the wolves too if they could
