Regional self deprecation

Where dating decisions are made based on whose mom makes the best fry-bread...
Well....... Uh.... Not exactly.

While my fellow Cherokee Nation citizens have embraced fry bread, including the so-called "Indian Taco" that is popular at pow-wows all across the Fruited Plain, fry bread isn't really a "Tsa Li Gi" thing.

The REAL TEST is whose mom makes the best "selu-gadu" ( cornbread ) or grape dumplings. ;)

Welcome to Washington. Where 3 counties full of blue haired lunatics control an entire state.
Absolutely terrible what the tech transplants have done to that state. Totally ruined it and ran off families who lived there for generations.

Welcome to Montana. Now leave, we're full. No, really...... go away.
I see you're a recent transplant. Perhaps you should take your own advice.

Montana: where the influx of out-of-staters are as welcome as a two-week visit by ALL your in-laws for Thanksgiving - except they never leave. And from their myopic view of self, tell you that they're "the good ones."

As much as I know we all enjoy another "which rifle can I kill elk with" or "I have 20 points but I've never been there" thread, I thought I'd try to mix it up.

I'll go first.

Welcome to Oklahoma! If you think our schools suck, just wait till you drive on our roads!
Fellow Okie here, I second this sentiment 😂 However, areas of i70 in eastern Colorado to Denver would give the worst roads in Oklahoma a run for their money. I cringe every time I’m hauling a trailer across that stretch.

You ain't kidding. I drove that stretch this last fall and it isn't great! It's about like the Indian nation Turnpike down by McAlester

McAlester itself is kind of a poster-child for Oklahoma road surface condition.

I've been on surface streets in that humble burg that had me contemplating locking my hubs and popping my transfer case into 4-low, while reminding myself that California's famous Rubicon Trail was once a maintained road, too.

As a Tulsan, I know a rough stretch of road when my buttocks feels one. For all of the "road works" we have going on in T-town, all of the time, you'd think every road here would be smoother than a baby's butt, but many of them have more in common with the lunar surface than a proper paved road.

I feel like Tulsa is in a perpetual state of construction.

I picked up a 4 wheeler from a dealer in McAlester a few months ago. That road is awful 😂 I made the mistake of taking that way to Broken Bow one year. After that I decided to hit Salisaw and head south.
