Well....... Uh.... Not exactly.

While my fellow Cherokee Nation citizens have embraced fry bread, including the so-called "Indian Taco" that is popular at pow-wows all across the Fruited Plain, fry bread isn't really a "Tsa Li Gi" thing.

The REAL TEST is whose mom makes the best "selu-gadu" ( cornbread ) or grape dumplings.

Fellow Okie here, I second this sentiment However, areas of i70 in eastern Colorado to Denver would give the worst roads in Oklahoma a run for their money. I cringe every time I’m hauling a trailer across that stretch.

You ain't kidding. I drove that stretch this last fall and it isn't great! It's about like the Indian nation Turnpike down by McAlester

McAlester itself is kind of a poster-child for Oklahoma road surface condition.

I've been on surface streets in that humble burg that had me contemplating locking my hubs and popping my transfer case into 4-low, while reminding myself that California's famous Rubicon Trail was once a maintained road, too.

As a Tulsan, I know a rough stretch of road when my buttocks feels one. For all of the "road works" we have going on in T-town, all of the time, you'd think every road here would be smoother than a baby's butt, but many of them have more in common with the lunar surface than a proper paved road.

I picked up a 4 wheeler from a dealer in McAlester a few months ago. That road is awful I made the mistake of taking that way to Broken Bow one year. After that I decided to hit Salisaw and head south.
