Refreshing the hunting rig

Toyota 4Runner, found that my head gasket around cylinder number 5 has started to fail. Slowly pushing coolant into that cylinder!

Pulled the heads off, got them cleaned, magnafluxed, and resurfaced. 0.005” removed! Excited to get this thing back together!

Just starting to freshen up a ford I snagged the other day. Am kinda stalled out until a few tools show up though.

I hear ya! I’m waiting for some new head bolts to show up, almost with a couple o-ring for my timing cover!

What do you have going on with the ford?

Fuel pump for now. Coils,plugs, wires next.

Has a few lil quirks and I can see where somebody was obviously chasing a problem. It hasnt been hacked or trashed. So I'll toss a few piece of mind parts at it that'll let me have a solid place to work from.

What year? 4th gen?

How difficult was the head disassembly and reassembly?
