Reduce Stove Pipe Size Diameter

Has anyone successfully reduced the stove size diameter? I have a large box stove with a 4 inch hole for the stove pipe. I was thinking of reducing the size to 3 inches. This would keep the hole in the tipi to 3 inches that way I can take a smaller round stove with me when weight is an issue.

Just buy a titanium foil piece and warp it over the stove hole and cut you 3 inches hole..if you have a box stove make it square and if you have a cylinder stove just wrap it over the hole,pretty easy to do.

Simple pipe reducer at Menards. Even a steel one is a few ounces.

Be cautious if you get a galvanized pipe. That close to the stove will get it hot and it could off-gas some nasty stuff.
