Can someone explain the difference between the two Redding die sets:
Premium die set 3pieces
Match set 2 dies full length die

-what justifies the extra money for the match set?

Thanks

I believe that the premium has the micrometer, and standard seating stem.

The competition seater has the micrometer, and is spring loaded inside to help align the case and bullet. I have two sets of the redding match sets, very consistent results.

Also if you are using a neck sizing bushing, use quality case lube to avoid stuck cases.

Premium series is regular style SAAMI spec dies with a carbide expander button, available only for "A series" (popular/traditional) chamberings.

Type-S/Match set is bushing style sizing die/s with regular expander button, and available for most other cartridges (match rifles variants).

Both come with micrometer seating stem, and are available in 2 or 3 die sets (FL, neck, seater).
