Has anyone had an issue with their Redding competition seating die sleeve? I got a new one for my 300 weatherby and after the initial cleaning the sleeve feels very rough inside the die and does not articulate up and down smoothly. I’ve stripped it down cleaned it and inspected it but haven’t been able to locate any rough areas. It doesn’t feel like it will seat a bullet consistently which is my concern. I haven’t tried it yet out of concern for any potential to cause damage to the die also
I have a few of the same die type in different calibers and they have all been very smooth. I tried emailing Redding but they haven’t bothered responding to my question.
