I've read through a bunch of threads already but can't seem to find a comparison im looking for. The Red Snake nExt gen LA bottom metal uses the 3.715 AICS mags but limits COAL to 3.5 due to action opening length. Every other bottom metal manufacturer uses the 3.56 AICS, which limits COAL to 3.480. Is this right? The effort of going the longer mags and potential hangup issues with the Red Snake metal only gains you 0.020"? Some people mention notching the receiver, does that allow longer than 3.5? Am I missing something?

I got one...

Had to basically spend an afternoon destroying a Rokstok to get it to even fit.

Once I got it the only magazine that'd work was a plastic mdt mag.

Also the mag release is in the trigger guard which is stupid. With another similar mag release I got my first and only ND a few years ago.

Tried using it at S2HU this past week. Yyyyeeeaaahhh Form lent me another stock and some mamba mags.

Dang yeah that doesn't sound worthwhile. Were you able to get rounds longer than 3.5 to feed or is that a pretty hard limit?
