Red Rock Canyon hike

I will be in Vegas visiting the inlaws for Thanksgiving and I want to take a day to do a hike in the Red Rock Canyon area. Anyone have a good suggestion on what route/trail to take? I will be with the old lady so I'm looking for no more than a 5-6mile round trip hike.

Mountain springs pass has a real cool hike that is about a 6 mile loop. You can make it longer by heading to little Zion if you want. The trail starts across from the Las Vegas archers club and takes you up 800-1000 vertical feet to the ridge line above the spring mtns. The trail then rides the ridge line towards red rock canyon. Beautiful views of the Vegas valley.

No, you have to become a member or go with a member. It's only about $140 a year.

60-65 high 40-45 low...unless rain is in forecast.
