Red dot on turkey gun

Any suggestions for a closed emitter that is effective for hunting? Something that could swap between my 22lr and 20ga would be wonderful.
Holosun ARO, Holosun EPS, Holosun 509, Aimpoint Acro, Steiner MPS, Trijicon RCR. It really just depends if you are willing to spend $150, $350 or $600 and what low profile mounts you can find for your gun.

I would not recommend swapping dots off a turkey gun, sighting them in is a pain and is expensive with TSS.

After ~10 years with a red dot, I’m thinking about going to a low power variable scope. I have a hard time picking a turkey head out of the brush with a big glowing dot & poor optics.

Probably ought to get working on that.

I’ve also had the Aimpoint 9000SC on my Ithaca M37 turkey slayer 20 gauge for 9 years. I might have changed the battery once just because. Super reliable sight. Has killed 50+ turkeys in all sorts of conditions.

Thinking of adding a new Aimpoint, likely a newer smaller model mounted to the rib and adjustments on the right hand side. I’m a left hand shooter and more than a few times I’ve come up on a gobbler and the dot was either too bright or too dim depending on the conditions as they changed throughout the day. Usually I can’t see the dot bc I started the hunt at first light and after a few hours it’s full sun and the setting that was perfect is now undetectable.

Being able to adjust settings ASAP bc the wheel is an inch from my right hand would have saved me a few birds.

I could also just be better about checking my brightness throughout the day.
