Record Elk poached in the Gila

I am not at a computer that will allow me to search for the story and post a link, but yesterday's Albuquerque Journal had a story on an elk measuring 422.375 killed and left in the field. It was apparently found by an out of state bowhunter who was stalking him last year and missed his chance. When I get to a computer that will let me post a link, I will do so.

I received an email from the NM game and fish about this. What a shame, that was an awesome bull. I hope they catch the $hithead who did it.

Unbelievable. In the rare cases poachers are caught (here in CO.), I'm always upset because the penalties are not nearly severe enough.

What a disgusting POS it would take to do this to any game animal, let alone a bull of this caliber. So sad.
