Thought I'd add in my recent experience. I placed orders with Optics Planet, Target Sports USA, SG Ammo, and Lucky Gunner on March 5. Would have been glad to order from only one, but stock was an issue.

All have been good to me in the past. Target Sports USA was amazingly fast--just a few days to arrive. Lucky Gunner was next, great communication/updates, but shipping was a tad high. SG Ammo arrived a close third. Optics Planet package is still en route--as scheduled, it will be 12 days from order to delivery. (They did send an update saying they're backed up--so was glad they were up front about it.)

I know I could save a few cents per round (and sometimes more) by chasing the lowest prices on ammo price web crawlers. But my advice: before you do that, check reddit for seller feedback. Some of these operations are super shifty and may not be worth the aggravation in dealing with them and your credit card company afterward.

Ammotogo.com have always been great for me. Good prices & cheap, fast shipping. I buy 90% of my components from Midway or Midsouth.

I wouldn't buy ammo from CTD if they were giving it away, wrapped in cash. Arseholes. During the last shortage I had an order for .22 bulk ammo bought & paid for, at pre-panic prices ($100/2000 rnds or there abouts) CTD canceled my order before shipping. Many apologies, sold out before it could be picked & shipped. I went back to the site to look for an alternative; lo & behold, the same ammo, in stock, $500. Iposted about this across several sites & found many other folks that this happened to. Basically, everyone who had an order in at the time had it canceled so they could make more money.

They are price gouging bastards & I hope their building burns down.

I have never been stiffed ordering from a site on ammoseek, and during the crazy times I ordered from a few places on there I normally would not have because they looked pretty sketchy. I love how you can set up the alerts on ammoseek for specific kinds.

I’ve gotten lucky with some 500 and 1000 round boxes of range 223 at sportsman’s pretty recently. I don’t use Facebook but the SW by my house always posts when they get ammo shipments in. My friends that use FB just send me a message when they see the announcement and I run up there as quick as I can. Sometimes it doesn’t even go on the shelf, they just sell it straight off the pallet in the delivery area. Good luck

I've ordered from AimSurplus a few times with good results. They have good pricing IF they have what you're looking for in stock.

I've ordered several times from trueshotgunclub in Arizona. Customer service, shipping and product was good. Selection varies but they typically have all the common stuff. I'm not affiliated or a member.

I typically just order from SGAmmo or target sports for bulk 223 and 9mm. They don't have crazy shipping add ons or anything like that.

I also will use ammoseek, search what I'm looking for, and scroll down the results until I see a green flag on the right side next to the retailer. If the flag is red or orange, their shipping is usually high bringing the cost per round way higher than actually advertised. Green flag means decent shipping rates. Not saying it doesn't exist, but I've not seen any scams on ammoseek either if the flag is green.
