Recommendations on sun clothing/hoodie?

I've had great luck with Kuiu. They make several different thickness of hoodies. They also are really nice as a baselayer when it cools down.

Big fan of Ketl Mountain. Light weight and dries quickly. I find that some of the others get wet and heavy. There is a place for staying wet, long distance runs in dry climates for example. But I prefer the quick drying options.

How hot of temps? For low desert I’ve been using Tiburon pants for years, have not found anything comparable to those. Usually paired with t shirt and either gila, or the lightest weight Kuiu merino. I also have a Kuhl sunshirt that I really like.

For really hot weather I have not found anything I like better that the Kuiu merino or gila line.

These have been decent for me and at that price their almost disposable
Just ordered 2 more. Some colors are discounted more than others.

Got a dark gray for $12.

Man, for the money you can't beat a Vortex hooded long sleeve. Expert voice has them cheap.

Did I just recommend a Vortex product...... 🤯

Says apparel is covered to.

I understand that there scopes may be a little suspect but, I have zero doubt they would warranty a shirt.

At least once. 😀

I’ve been wearing a couple Sims fishing ones I got for free the last few years and they are great. Got my kids Columbia ones that are about half price compared to hunting brands and they are pretty decent

When I regularly hunted 95-105 degree days I had tried many different shirts, settling on a clear winner of the:
Outdoor Research Echo series

I prefer the half zip, but they also have a hoodie, which I like when fishing.

I'm in the process of trying 3 new ones in the stupid summer heat in the south. I'll keep you posted.

These are sweet for the price. Only bad part is it doesn’t have elastic around the hood which is a must in high winds. As said above Costco has some good ones that hide ok.

Real tree from Wally world. Tee's hold up good and run true to size. I bought the hoodie a few years back, to warm for me out in the Sonoran desert.

Pound for pound, dollar to dollar, nothing beats the Eddie Bauer from Costco. All these guys chiming in KUIU this and Sitka that either have not used the EB or have money to burn, don't get me wrong those are nice hoodies but you can buy 8-12 EB for the price of one of the big name brands.
I use my sun hoodies either fishing from boats offshore or fishing from the beach in So. Cal. Fishing offshore here in California the sun will give you a beatdown and some form of protection is mandatory.
The Eddies are great, I really like the way the hood will lock in around the bill of a ball cap. and the thumb holes come in handy when needed.
I have 6 EBs in the closet, since my Costco was fully stocked last week. At $12,99 Seams like a steal to me.
