I wear pull on boots /wellingtons for work. Most folks wear tennis shoes but in event I’m doing surgery I don’t necessarily care for animal goo to be dropping on my socks and have to deal with it for however many more hours.

I’m overweight which doesn’t help my feet but after 14.5 hours .. my feet HURT.. BAD

Currently sporting thoroughgood boots but these are about to hit the donation pile after only about 2 months..

Lot of human surgeons wear non perforated medical crocs or dansko clogs. would think you would want a non permeable material given the environment you work in. Muck boots make some lower height shoes with pretty good support and cushioning.

I wore a pair of tony lama roper boots for a few years for a similar purpose. I thought they were fine, but in hindsight probably not the most comfortable choice of footwear I’ve ever made.

Xtra tuff low boots with some decent insoles. I wear these all winter and do tons of work in them around the house. If you get anything on them you can hose them off. They are short enough they seem to breath pretty decently.
