Recommendations for reasonably priced Pan Head

Setting both my boys up with their own hunting gear. Looking for a pan head that is durable and not too heavy. Want to stay under $150. The Leupold looks nice as it has friction.

Smallrig CH10 is pretty good! Lots of info on this forum if you search for it. It’s around $50 on Amazon

Second the Small Rig CH10. Perfect for what you described wanting to do.

Third on the smallrig, I’ve bought 2 and been impressed. Handles binos and 80mm spotters equally well

I prefer the Smallrig over the Tricer. It’s a couple oz heavier but a lot more stable.

Another recommendation for the smallrig for the money. I like the VA-5 for using a heavier spotter, but for binos the smallrig is great. I mainly just bring the tricer with for weight and to justify buying it ha.

I have the smallrig and the tricer and neither are that great with a heavy spotter imo. If you're using binos or a 65mm spotter you'll be fine. They will both hold a 80mm+ spotter, but neither are smooth in operation once they are tight enough to hold the spotter.
