Recommendation for Lightweight Tripod

My old Outdoorsmans tripod (37" max height) is 36 oz and the micro panhead is 8.4 oz, so 44.4 oz (2.77 pounds) all up.

Looking for a lighter setup if possible for a compact (ATC) spotter and to possibly shoot off of to 500 yards if needed.

I did find the Aziak Backcountry Lite (45" max height) which is only 20 oz, so a savings of 16 oz there.

Any other recommendations? And head recommendations?

Love that aziak backcountry. I run it with tricer LP head for my ATC and binos. I’d look hard at that ridgeline tripod with shooting on the menu - probably would be nice to clip a pan head into the built in ball. Or just use the short column on the backcountry lite and get a different head, like that wiser ridge warden, which is a combo type head. Strongly considering using that one myself.

One thing I’ll say is the 1-2 section inverted type tripods are nice for shooting, quicker to setup.

If standing shots/glassing aren't in the cards, the Slik 632 (which I have) is often overlooked. Pair that with the new BT-20 Ridge Warden from Wiser (which i'd love to try out) and you have a killer sit-glassing and shooting combo that's less than 2#

I love my Aziak Back Country but honestly wouldn’t want to shoot off it. It just wasn’t that secure. Though I would like to try it again with the new wiser pan ball head. That may be a slick combo.

I should have skipped the front country and got the Ridgeline as well. Ha

Tricer AD. I run the LP pan head and have an arca plate on my rifle. I glass and shoot off the system all the time (seated or standing). Super light too, whole setup weighs 2.5lbs.
