Recommend me a DECENT tripod

Picking up either a Vanguard HD 65 or 82....still havent decided and need a tripod for it. I live / hunt in Central Colorado for elk, deer, antelope. I dont want to break the bank with this purchase. Id love to keep it under $100 but qualify for LEO discount so that helps tremendously. Just need something lightweight that will pack small to hike with. Thanks

I just picked up one of these... super nice tripod, very compact. It is just a shade over 3 lb... but the panhead is pretty nice too. Happy with mine:

I know it's a little out of your budget but I run the Sirui t-025x. It can be had for $199 on Amazon Amazon.com: Sirui T-025X Carbon Fiber Tripod with C-10S Ball Head: Camera & Photo

I've used/abused this tripod exclusively for the last 3 years. It's incredibly light at 1.7lbs. It's incredibly versatile and incredibly durable. I use it to glass from with binos and spotting scope. Use it to take trophy photos, phoneskope and I use it as a rifle rest.
