So what is up with a Reckoning bag for sale on ebay shipping from Hong Kong? Do we now have knockoff Kifaru prodfucts?

I wouldn't trust ANYTHING from Hong Kong. It is amazing to think they can make something and ship it for the price they are advertising it. When you finally receive it and realize it is junk, it would cost you twice the price of the item to send it back. BUT you have the Paypal buyer's guarantee to back you up.

I looked at the ad on Ebay, and it almost seems legit. The seller lists this as something he bought and it wasn't the right size that he needed. If you look at the "other items seller has listed", you can see 4 other packs he has listed also. He has 100% satisfaction on his feedback, but if you look at the 57 feedback results, you will see everything he has sold is all backpacks. SO is this guy someone who has a fetish for backpacks, or is it "counterfeit" items he is selling? Could be legit though. I have had to use the Paypal guarantee three times in over 6 years, and got my money back within 7 days. You are protected if you use Paypal, but as always:
Buyer beware !!

I was unable to find it on there now. Sounds a lot like the ebay triangulation scam. Happened to me with a trail camera I bought a few years ago. Price seemed too good to be true so I bought it. Received a new camera straight from cabelas which I found odd. The billing name and address were different than mine. The seller hacked someone's ebay account with good feedback and sold the camera which he never really had. Used a stolen credit card to purchase the camera from cabelas and had it sent to me while pocketing my money. I still got the camera for the great deal, was able to get my money back after I proved the scam with paypal. Sounds like the person with the credit card was able to get the credit card company to cover the stolen goods. Seemed like a lot of work for $100.

I don't know why anyone CONUS would buy it anyways. The price is the same as new. And with the shipping times from Hong Kong you'd be about the same as buying it straight from Kifaru.

Based on his profile picture, it appears he is in the military. We do have a lot of guys stationed all around the world, and it is not uncommon for them to buy kifaru....
