Rear end shot

Seen it first hand on a bedded bull. 300WM - 100 yards w front and rear support and tons of time. Bull never left its bed and was dead within 10 seconds and there was massive bleeding.

I am still not huge fan of it but was very effective and the environment was very controlled.

Actually, thinking about it now, I may like it more than some of the offhand shots that get taken all the time.
If that’s all I have I think I would take a high hip shop with a fragmenting bullet to catch bone and spine. Catch an artery and it would be bloody.

It’s certainly better than some shots I have seen.

Yeah, I think you'll be fine and if its not OK, you'll know it. As long as you accept some meat loss.
