Disclaimer: I purchased this tripod using my own money but at the pro-deal price. I have friends that work at RRS, communicate with them regularly, saw prototypes of this, and visited their facility. I am not being compensated in any way by RRS or other companies for my notes below.
With this now on the market, I wanted to share some information and thoughts. If you’re looking for factory specs, see the links below. If you’re interested in buying the tripod feet, shoot me a PM.

Application: In general, this tripod will be used to glass and shoot off of. It will be transported via backpack, truck, ATV/SxS, small airplanes, packraft, and boats.
Weight: Now in the two section configuration, my scale indicated 2.56lbs (~40.96 oz) with the Wiser Precision BT-20 ball head. With the RRS Anvil 30, my scale indicated 3.02lbs (~48.32oz). RRS quotes the full three section Benchmark Inverted with Anvil 30 head at 4.51lbs (~72.16oz). I’ll note my scale may read different than their scale.

Shooting Positions: Will update.
Stability: Will update.
Comparison: Pictured next to the Aziak Ridgeline Tripod. Will update.

- I plan to use the full three section Benchmark Inverted for PRS/NRL shooting, and hunts where weight is a lesser consideration and/or higher shooting positions like standing are more likely.
- I plan to use the two section configuration for hunts where weight is a consideration, higher shooting positions are less likely, but stability for long shots or glassing remains important.
