Real life scams , whats the best you've seen ?

Haven't checked into this thread. Holy balls. Theres a reason I add 'this is satire' to some of my posts.

Some folks would read a sign that says 'Jump off this cliff to your death' and they would do it because thats what it said. Also, great reason as to why we have 'caution, contents maybe hot' on coffee cups.

You'd think if you had been around this forum for a minute, knew forum members, you could easily pick up when theyre being sarcastic, funny, etc. But alas.
 
Friday I had one that I had never of before. I got a phone call from a lady with the "SAT and ACT testing department". They wanted to speak the parent of Ely. I said this was him. She said that when Ely took the pre-ACT that he checked a box saying he would like some study content for the real ACT. She just needed parent permission to send it out. I said sure send it out.


She just needed my email and a then a card number for a refundable deposit once he returned the study content. I asked how much was the "refundable deposit". She said it $249 for 30 days. But once it was returned to them I would get my $249 back. I told her let me talk to my wife and Ely about it before giving a deposit.

CLICK.... She hung up.

I believe Kahn Academy has SAT and ACT prep stuff on their site. It’s all free.

I think thats funny as hell. Because I can take a joke.
And I dont think your dumb enough to break the rules and make a personal insult / attack on me and get yourself banned.
Your smarter than that.
