Real life scams , whats the best you've seen ?

Funny how that is... that from post #71 (My orig post that you started all this sh!t off of in YOUR mind apparently) all the way over to post #91 (where you inject disrespect, with, of all things a blaring "gramatical" error) Funny how NOBODY ELSE saw fit to alert me to the "obvious >>>gramatical<<< errors"... Hrmmph.. Gee... it's almost like.. they either aren't obvious.. or.. aren't there!

You'd have thunk, if it was soo terrible and egregious... that in the 20 posts between that one and yours.... kinda interesting how NOBODY ELSE had that thought occur to them to say those things. Probably because they're not true. And because they're not rude tards that just up and decide to pop-off-the-lip at random-azz people for no good reason.

Maybe it's because they know it's not cool to lean-in with disparaging remarks, for no good reason. Either way?

I've seen a few good ones .
1977 I'm working at Chevrolet down in the hole , Flint Mi. Two brothers in a white Coup Deville are setting outside the gate when the shift changes selling boxes of steaks . They had two boxes open and the steaks looked awesome , the rest where in white boxes tied up with string , ten bucks a box . They sold every box , turns out the next day everyone got suet in their boxes , no meat .
Next one was in 1979 , two brothers pull up at the carwash my girl friend was working at with a brand new Sony Trinitron TV , state of the art back then . The ex bought it for three hundred , took it home and it had a used black and white TV in the box .

People have been getting scammed for ever , since the beginning of time , nothing new here .
What are some you've seen ?

Negative, it's everyone's job to use manners where appropriate, or at least, there's a cursory basic expectation of a basic amount of common courtesy. Sure, dipsh!ts can elect not to follow that suggestion, but then they can't go gettin' their panties all in a wad when somebody checks 'em for bein' an asshat and disrespectful in an unprovoked fashion.

That's pretty damned universal, last time I checked.

Here's my attempt at reviving it.

In my early 20's I was super lonely and decided I didnt have anything better to do than workout. One day at the gym I met this husband and wife, we started talking and they were super cool. They told me they had been looking for a church and by chance I happened to know a good one. They came to church and one of the other young adult gals went to high-school with this guy's wife. A couple days later this dude calls me and tells me he has this "business oppurtunity" for me and that he wanted to meet up for coffee and discuss it. I'm very distrusting of people, and hesitantly accepted his invitation. I was looking for friends after all. I go to the meeting and here comes this girl from church. She got invited for a "business oppurtunity" as well. The husband and wife split us up and it's super weird. Anyways, my dad knows what I'm doing and calls me telling me he needs help with something, to bail me out. It's clear this is some type of scam, so I call my buddy to get the girl from church's phone number to warn her. I was used to hanging out with dumb girls at that point in my life. He reluctantly gives me her number because he has the hots for her. When I get off the phone with him I see a Facebook message from the girl from church with her phone number and to call her ASAP. I call her and she's trying to warn me that this "business oppurtunity" was a scam. Haha we both thought the other was "naive" (is how she puts it). Then we just never stopped talking. Now shes my wife and the mother of my children. I never actually found out what those guy's were selling, they wouldn't tell us until we met them at a warehouse at night.

That's the best scam anyone attempted to pull over on me.

Hey thanks. We are kind of just acquaintances now. Just life stuff. I didn't just all out steal her from him. I tried to help him get her attention, but he was too afraid to make a move, and I wasn't about to let walk out of both our lives. Haha

This just reminded me of a similar occurrence. I was at a hockey game with my then girlfriend. And a couple sitting in front of us turned around and complimented her scarf. A little later I get up to get a beer and I come back and they're both sitting on either side of her. He immediately gets up and I return to my seat and made small talk. Red flags started going off. With them right there I didn't get alot of detail but the look said it all. Next beer I stand and he immediately looks back and I tell him let's go get a beer. He comes with but doesn't get a beer, and doesnt ask me anything. Get back and his lady is next to mine.

Nothing came of it and they left before we did. I suspect they might of been swingers, or they just never got to their punch line.

You dont realize that not a single person agrees with you? When that happens it's time to take a step back and really think.

Every single thread on this forum is full of friendly jabs and jokes at other people's expense. We all take it and dish it out. How you've been here for over 3k posts and havent realized this is alarming. No one insulted you. No one did anything even remotely wrong. Ive seen people get banned for behaving the way you are behaving.
