I read this book recently and truly enjoyed it. Great story telling and educational at the same time.

Any other good books out there that marry the two? Or "must reads"?

Dwight's book on elk hunting is equally as good (forgot exact title and my copy is on loan). He was editor of Bowhunter Magazine for many years and an all around decent guy.....good writer and bowhunter.

Just texted my dad to see if I could borrow his copy of this book. If you haven't, check out Robby Dennings book as well.

If your looking for non-mule deer books but great readings look at any of Steven Rinellas book, namely American Bison.

Came in to suggest American Buffalo, Steven Rinella did an awesome job on this book. I am thinking about reading it a second time actually.

Not on the subject of hunting, but I highly recommend anything by John Gierach. All of his writings pertain to flyfishing.

Thanks guys! I'll definitely be getting the Steven RInella book.
I need something to help me feel like I'm outside, when I'm trapped in the city all the time!
