Rate My CO Layering System

Going to be Elk hunting in SW Colorado last week of Archery season in late September.. My first trip there.. I know the weather is supposed to be pretty unpredictable.. I want to be prepared for pretty much anything (and I get cold fairly easily), but I don't want to load up too hard.. My pack is getting a little on the heavy side.. Any advice would be appreciated..

Bottom
FL Allegheny boxers
FL Allegheny EXP merino
FL Corrugate pants
FL Stormtight pants

Top
FL Llano
FL Chama
FL Puffy
FL Stormtight jacket

Head
OR beanie
Baseball cap
Shemagh

Feet
Darn Tough light socks x2

Hands
FL Softshell Shooting gloves
FL Merino gloves

On the fence about bringing
FL Uncompahgre vest
MH Compressors

*Not sold on the glove choice, worried about them not being warm enough since I haven't had a chance to test them.. I have some OR Knuckledusters that are nice and toasty but thick.. Knuckledusters would be for glassing only.. Also have a Kifaru handwarmer I could bring and attach to my pack..

*Not sold on FL puffy because of the weight (19oz).. Thinking about going with Kryptek Aquillo (12.5oz) or MH Ghost Whisperer (7.5oz) but not sure.. I already own the FL puffy (neither of the other two) and I really like the windshear layer..

This is just me......but I would replace the Chama with a good fleece. The fleece will act as an insulation layer when you need something but not quite a puffy jacket. Then I'd bring a down puffy because the FL puffy isn't warm enough for me. And being the last week of Sept in SW Colorado (depending on your elevation), I'd also have some of my winter gear on standby some place close......like base camp or the truck.

I could throw the Halstead Fleece in instead of the Chama.. I haven't had a chance to use it yet since I got it on an end-of-year closeout sale..

Both the other puffys I was thinking about taking are down.. I kinda wanted to take one anyway for the weight savings..

I guess if I make that swap I shouldn't need the Vest, I should be plenty warm up top.. Just need to decide if I need to take the puffy pants..

I think your fine, the only thing I would add is a wind blocking vest like jet stream or Kuiu guide vest. That over a chama hoddie gets me through the times when I need a bit more ...but it not cold enough for a puffy.

I wouldn't bring both the puffy and puffy vest.

Hmmm... I think I'll just keep the FL puffy in the list for now since it has the windshear built in.. I wore it a ton last year and it was pretty warm..

You think I'll need a vest with llano, fleece, and puffy? I could maybe throw something thin in, like a Kryptek Kratos Minus...

Alright, I thought about it and I think I'm taking my puffy pants just in case.. So here's my current list.. Gonna be heavy but should cover anything possible lol:
