Hey group,

I am looking to upgrade my rangefinder and am looking at these two models. They seem to be pretty comparable. Does anyone have experience with both of these? The Sig Kilo2000 seemed to have a great following, but it has been discontinued. I don't really see that Sig has provided a good replacement; thier website is terrible.

I am trying to keep the purchase around $250 which is why I am looking at these. I love the clip on the vortex, I wish all manufacturers would offer that option. I mostly bowhunt and occasionally shoot rifle out to 1000 yards. Thanks.

I've got the Vortex 1500. It's worked well, no complaints whatsoever. I've occasionally ranged coyotes at over 900 yards, had to steady myself on a tripod and I've ranged steel cutouts at 1350 and checked it with a pair of swaro EL Ranges. Everyone always brings up Vortex's warranty but what they don't mention is that fact that it covers electronics as well, not many other companies do that.

I like Vortex and the fact that their warranty covers electronics is great. The Kilo1600 is a little lighter though, 5oz vs 7.7oz. It also seems like the Sigs get an overall better approval rating, but I'm not sure. Probably cant go too wrong with either, but opinions always help.
