I've never bought one, I've always used hand me downs. I lost my last "handmedown" rangefinder while crawling away from a group of deer one night. I started looking at them last night and realized there's lots of options. I do bowhunt from tree stands most of the time but do plan to continue hunting the west every year. I liked the colored display compared to black letters/numbers. I'd also like it to work in fog, rain, brush out to around a 1,000(while searching here I read that only means it's good for 500 yards). Price I'd prefer 300.00 or less if it's possible, I figure black friday may help me out. Lots of threads in the search function here but none really answered my questions. Thanks for your time

I recently purchased a Sig 2200?(think that is right number- don’t have it with me) on sale at Cabelas. No problems with ranging and you can even load your ballistics into it and it will give you turret data. No complaints thus far.
