Does anyone mount their rf to a tripod for getting farther readings. I have a sig 2200 and can only get handheld ranges to around 800 or so. Was wondering if having it mounted to a tripod would increase that distance significantly? I see aziak makes an adapter for my rf

Clipped in or off a bag definitely helps get ranges on smaller/further targets, but it’s not going to add capability to your lrf or anything.

I've used mine RF.1 off of a tripod several times on longer distances. Doesn't enhance the range finder but it keeps it steady so it's easier to range at long distances. Unless you're talking bow hunting distances, I usually try to steady it on a pack or shooting sticks for 200-300 yards and a tripod for longer.

ran a Leica mounted next to a spotter on my tripod, definitely helps stabilize for stuff farther out and checking where in the reticule the laser is actually going
